Bayonetta 2 Will Be a Wii U Exclusive

Fans were unhappy when Sega cancelled the sequel to Bayonetta, the tough-as-nails action title from the creator of Devil May Cry. Well, now they can dry those eyes, as Sega have just announced that the sequel will be coming out after all, and in the unlikeliest of places - the Wii U.

The original Bayonetta was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, and challenged players to overcome hordes of demons using guns, magic, and huge number of combat techniques. The game carried on the Devil May Cry formula, but added in a variety of moves and combos, even allowing the player to transform into animals and slow down time. It will be interesting to see how Platinum Games take advantage of the new control inputs on the Wii U.

No release date has been given yet, and the only real info we have is this short teaser trailer. I can’t wait to see more!
